Kaltum Saleh left Somalia thirty years ago during the country's civil war. As a young woman in Somalia, cooking was her favorite pastime, and through apprenticeship realized her talent, and became a skilled chef. She brought her culinary skills with her to the United States, and hopes to share with others her love for nutritious Somali food, and first hand details about her culture. Come hear her speak and sample Somali cuisine!
