Highland Township Public Library

We're getting rid of our old magazine issues! Come downstairs to the Youth Department and pick up old issues. First come, first served, no limit. This week, we will only have kids' titles available.

Family Rock Painting

5:00 PM - 7:30 PM

Community Room - Lower Level

Come paint with us, and help build our library rock garden! Paint rocks that will inspire hope, kindness, and maybe a few laughs to share with our community. We will provide the materials, and we will seal any rocks left for our garden.

*New this year* Each session will feature a different rock-themed craft or painting technique! Join us every other Wednesday through the summer. We will paint outside on the patio if the weather cooperates, or in the Community Room when it doesn't cooperate.

Please register only one family member and please indicate how many are in your group.

Amaze your family and puzzle your friends with some crafty card tricks! Participants will receive a high-quality "professional" deck of cards plus a few other gadgets to keep!

First Tuesday of each month at 10:30am: Enjoy a special 20-minute session of movement songs, where we move together to the rhythm of the music, sometimes with extras like play scarves or ribbons or shakers.

Friends Used Book Sale

Come buy quality used books at very reasonable prices and support our Friends of the Library!

$.50 - $1.50 for paperbacks, $1.50 hardcovers, specialty items may be more.

Donations to the book sale are currently accepted on Tuesdays and Wednesdays only.

Books must be in a box or bag. Please leave donations on the cart by the front doors during open library hours - 10am - 8pm.

Teen - Painting with artist Noelle Douglas

Noelle Douglas, known professionally as nodoyodoart- or NoDo for short- is an award winning Michigan artist. She is professionally trained in computer animation, and self taught in both traditional and digital painting and drawing. When not painting or working on commissions, she can be found working on her webcomic, "Tabibito" on webtoons, or studying Japanese.

Noelle will be bringing her expertise, supplies and even music to guide you through creating your own masterpiece.

Team Puzzle Battle!

Bring your family and try to complete a 500-piece puzzle as fast as you can!

You get to keep the puzzle you worked on, and the fastest team(s) will win an extra puzzle!

Please register your family (group) - space for this program is limited - then drop in any time on this day to complete your puzzle (leave yourself some time; we close at 8pm).
